This contemporary bungalow in Defence Colony, New Delhi, designed for an advocate, features a façade that combines modern design with traditional elements. Defined by textured concrete surfaces with vertical grooves, the elevation is further enhanced through recessed balconies and carefully designed cut-outs that create visual connections while adding openness and depth to the structure.
A recessed yellow volume adds warmth and gives the façade a unique character. The Jaali screens provide privacy, reduce harsh sunlight, and improve ventilation, while also bringing a traditional touch to the contemporary design in Delhi’s urban setting. The G+4 structure is divided into service, commercial, and residential floors, allowing clear zoning, efficient circulation, and organized use of space.
